Jessica Trollip
I studied BSc Physiotherapy at UCT, graduating in 2009. I have a broad variety of experience, with a special interest in the rehabilitation of central nervous system injuries.
I am a keen trail runner, hiker, and overall adventurer. I’m passionate about my life and work, and believe that a good sense of humour and a positive outlook can help a person overcome their obstacles!

Julian Smith
I studied BSc Physiotherapy at UCT, finishing in 2007. I have since augmented my skills with an OMT course in 2005. I am a keen runner.

Asanda Mbayise
My name is Asanda Mbayise. I graduated with a Bsc in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2021. I am currently working as physiotherapist and I’m passionate about helping people embrace a pain-free and active lifestyle by means of evidence-based rehabilitation. When I’m not working you’ll likely find me immersed in the world of art. Whether it’s painting or simply admiring masterpieces in a museum, art fuels my creativity and inspires me to approach each patient’s journey uniquely.
I have a deep appreciation for the culinary arts. Exploring diverse cuisines and experimenting in the kitchen is not just a hobby, it’s a way of life.

Belle Isaacs
My name is Belle Isaacs and I completed my physiotherapy studies at the University of the Western Cape. My hobbies include dancing, going to the gym or relaxing at the beach. If you can’t find me at the beach you can find me at the LSI Milnerton branch.
I enjoy promoting the recovery of injury on duty patients because as a physiotherapist I watch patients evolve from being fearful of movement to being confident in their movement.
My favourite question for my patient’s is “are you moving poorly because you are in pain or are you in pain because you are moving poorly?”

Mamosa Leshoele
I studied BSc Occupational Therapy at UCT, graduating in 2006. I have furthered my knowledge with the following courses: Work practice (Stellenbosch University), Understanding and management of Chronic pain and Effective communication techniques.
Occupational Therapy within the workplace rehabilitation sector gives me the opportunity to rehabilitate, educate, support and coach individuals with an ultimate goal of ensuring a safe and durable return to work/return to life following injuries, illness and/or diseases. The highlight in my role revolves around becoming part of a complete positive transformation in my patients/clients, instilling hope, a sense of worth and empowering others.

Lauren Purdy
My name is Lauren Purdy, I graduated from UWC with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in 2018. As an Occupational Therapist, I bring a unique blend of compassion, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm to my work. I am passionate about empowering individuals to regain their independence and confidence, whether it’s after an injury, illness, or surgery. I am currently working at LSI’s Milnerton Branch where I mostly treat hand injuries and injuries on duty. My greatest accomplishment is being a mother to my beautiful twin girls. On a professional level, I have completed numerous hand therapy courses and remain committed to expanding my knowledge in this area as well as within pain management.

Salwaa Abdurahman
My Name is Salwaa, I am an occupational therapist with a keen interest in hands, neuro and vocational
rehabilitation. I enjoy the privilege of joining patients on their return to work journey. I am always open to learning new things everyday and this is greatly facilitated through meeting new people and listening to their stories at LSI each day.

Terence Witbooi
I am an administrator and run the front desk at LSI, Montague Gardens.
I’m a Christian and a family man and a good communicator. I like to work hard, to go the extra mile and I always give my best and try to do more than what is expected from me.

Elcado Carelse
My name is Elcado Carelse, and I’m passionate about people, photography, and nature. I’m currently working as a driver where I practice being safe and reliable as well as interacting with patients every day.I always strive to be positive and to try new things.
I’ve been working as a driver for the past 7 years and before that, I was a process controller. I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Suleiman Ismail
I am a driver at LSI, Montague Gardens. I’ve been happily married for 30 years and have 2 kids and 2 cute grandchildren. I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters and together we are one big happy family.
I’m a Jack of all trades. My interests are playing golf, chilling with my family, practising my religion, going on holidays and the occasional street race.
My dream is to perform Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, I would also like to start my own small business someday.

Nompumelelo (Mpumi) Matutu
I am a general worker and Office Cleaner at LSI, Montague Gardens and I love interacting with all the different people at work. I have 3 beautiful kids, 8, 14 and 16 years old. I enjoy cleaning and cooking and playing with my kids and spending quality time with my family. I enjoy assisting my children with their school work and projects.
